Dear Colleagues and Friends;
On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing committee of the 2024 European Bobath Tutors Association (EBTA) Biennial Meeting, it is a privilege and great pleasure to welcome you to Istanbul-Türkiye, from September 19th to 21th 2024, and 16 to 18 September 2024 for pre-congress course and senior tutor workshop.
We would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to host this event. Following the outstanding line of previous EBTA biannual meetings, we will do our best in offering an excellent opportunity to share experiences, exchange scientific and clinical ideas, and foster interactions between all Bobath therapists, professionals, children and their families.
EBTA is a network of national Bobath teaching teams, comprising over 200 Bobath Tutors, from across Europe. EBTA exists to set, maintain and update standards of Bobath courses developed by Dr. Karel Bobath and Mrs. Berta Bobath across Europe. Additionally, EBTA has a mandate to encourage and implement therapy research and encourage EBTA tutors to help in all countries.
Bobath Concept offers an individualized holistic way of observation, analysis and treatment of individual with Cerebral Palsy and Allied neurodevelopmental conditions delivered by expert physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists in collaboration with medical doctors. Through clinical reasoning, the Bobath Concept focuses on maximizing the potential of children and adults with Cerebral Palsy and neurodevelopmental/neurological conditions in their own family, school or social environment.
The theme of this EBTA biennial meeting is “Clinical Reasoning into Action”. The local Scientific and Organizing committee hopes to greet you in person. Plan your schedule to make the most of your Istanbul visit.
The Bobath Concept provides a solid foundation, which is evolving through time. The concept spreads out with each therapist’s new input and experience. Exchanging these ideas and knowledge is the aim of this congress.
We aim to provide a transdisciplinary scientific education through and for Bobath therapists and medical doctors.
Istanbul is the biggest cultural and financial centre of Turkey and is considered to be the bridge that links Asia with Europe from a historical, cultural and geographical standpoint. The Turkish NTO members and Bobath Therapists Association (Turkiye) (TBTA), is delighted to welcome you to our EBTA congress 2024 to Istanbul.
