ATSF is an international conference series organized to bring together researchers from ALL areas of Approximation Theory and Special Functions to discuss new ideas and new applications.

This conference is dedicated to the valuable contributions to mathematics of our esteemed colleague Prof. George Anastassiou and to his upcoming retirement years.

This organization, which has been held seven times so far as mini-symposia, has grown gradually over the years and will be held for the eighth time on September 4-7, 2024, hosted by TOBB Economics and Technology University (Ankara, Türkiye).

The conference will be face-to-face only and therefore there will not be any online presentation.

The ATSF series held so far are as follows:

the 1st series was in Greece in 2013 (as a part of ICNAAM 2013 Conference),

the 2nd series was in Bulgaria in 2014 (as a part of MDS 2014 Conference),

the 3rd series was in France in 2016 (as a part of ETAMM 2016 Conference),

the 4th series was in Sweden in 2017 (as a part of ISAAC 2017 Conference),

the 5th series was in Hungary in 2018 (as a part of ICPAM 2018 Conference),

the 6th series was in Belgium in 2019 (as a part of ICPAM 2019 Conference),

the 7th series was in Türkiye in 2020 (as a part of ICRAPAM 2020 Conference).

After taking a break for a few years due to the pandemic, we are coming together again in 2024 with a big organization. This time, we have tried to keep the conference research and presentation topics as broad as possible. In addition to paper presentations, we will also welcome poster presentations and special session proposals. So we expect a big turnout for this series.
