My Esteemed Colleagues,
As the Local Organising Committee, we are proud and happy to host the 26th annual ESMRMB meeting in Antalya. The Local Organising Committee, with the support of the Turkish Magnetic Resonance Society, will make all efforts to ensure this meeting is a success, both scientifi cally and socially.
Interest in MR is increasing both in clinical and research areas, and many investigators contribute scientifi cally to various areas of MR in Turkey. The presence of the 26th ESMRMB meeting in Antalya will increase these contributions and encourage multidisciplinary studies.
The location of the meeting is special. Antalya, on the Turkish Riviera, is a place where three continents, making up the old world, converge. Antalya is considered to be the best touristic centre of Turkey, combining nature, history,
sun, sea and beautiful beaches.
The city is very rich in terms of historical values, going back to ancient times, to the Roman and Selchuk Empires. Aspendos Theatre, the Antique City of Side, and Antalya Museum are only a few examples. October is the ideal time of year for visiting the historical sites, enjoying the Mediterranean coast and Taurus mountains, and experiencing unforgettable moments.
I look forward to greeting you in Antalya in October 2009, where scientists and health professionals of the world will come together to learn from each other and share experiences
that will be remembered for many years to come.
