Dear Colleagues,
It is a great pleasure and honour for the organizers to invite you to the 21st European Congress of Pathology which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on September 8-13, 2007.
Istanbul, the unique city standing upon two continents, separated by the Bosphorus in which waters of Black Sea mingle with those of Sea of Marmara, bears the characteristics of being the capital city of three great empires and a link between the East and the West, the past and the present.
The fascinating, busy metropolis with its wealth of history, natural beauty, multi-faced culture and the legendary cuisine, offers an infinite variety of attractions such as museums, ancient churches, mosques, palaces and bazaars.
The congress will be held in "Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre" located in the "congress valley", in the very heart of the city with numerous fine hotels and restaurants around. The center, which is equipped with all sorts of technical facilities, has large halls and exhibition areas for international meetings.
ECP 2007 will combine excellent reviews of state-of–the–art practices with glimpses of the future. Pathology is developing so fast that we have to keep exchanging ideas to keep up with the pace of progress. The scientific program will include keynote lectures, symposia, short courses, slide seminars, free paper and poster sessions, and pre-congress scientific activities. It will also cover the challenging aspects of clinical and research pathology. Many distinguished speakers and promising active researchers will be invited to update the participants on recent developments with emphasis on practical knowledge and basic research. In order to achieve a wider coverage of the pathology discipline, we encourage you all, especially young pathologists to participate in this event with their work
And, as we have come to expect from the ECP, the science will be accompanied by an outstanding social programme. You will have the opportunity to meet your friends and make new friends from the expanding European pathology family in this magical city.
We cordially invite you to participate in this event, which we believe will offer a top quality program and an unforgettable personal experience at the crossroad of cultures.
