On behalf of the organizing committee it is my honour and privilege to announce that 37th Annual Meeting of the Association for Dental Education in Europe will be held in Antalya, Turkey from 7th – 10th September 2011.
Antalya will be an exceptional location for the Congress. The local organizing committee has chosen a spectacular beachfront congress venue; Gloria Golf Resort Hotel which is renowned as one of the best convention centres with award-winning hospitality.
Stunning facilities offer wonderful space for scientific presentations, exhibition, accommodation and leisure.
The topic of the Congress will be “Research and its Impact on Dental Education”. We are honoured to invite internationally distinguished faculty. Participants will discuss how basic and clinical research influence dental education.
This year couple of precongress activities take place. Association of Basic Science Teachers (ABSTD) in Dentistry decided to convene within the framework of ADEE annual meeting. All delegates are welcome to participate the ABSTD meeting. Another group of colleagues gather for precongress workshop are Special Care in Dental Education (SCIPE) Taskforce. SCIPE members will gather prior to ADEE meeting, then continue working within ADEE meeting. Traditionally workshop of Forum of European Heads and Deans of Dental Schools (FEHDD) meet in eve of ADEE annual meeting. Not only the European colleagues, also heads and deans of dental schools of all over the world are invited to participate this particular event. Lastly, participants of the EU project DentCPD also meet prior to ADEE meeting. All these meetings will foster the exchange of knowledge.
The comprehensive scientific program includes keynote lectures, discussions, Workshops and Speical interes groups. Also, significant time has been allocated for selected poster presentations and the delivery of free papers.
Our corporate sponsors and exhibitors from the industry have also committed their support for our meeting and the large exhibit area will house many interesting and innovative exhibits, providing opportunities to share products and knowledge with delegates.
I should remind you that Antalya city is a world famous destination which offers something for everyone to enjoy. The Social Programme, pre and post congress tours promise exciting and unforgettable experience for all meeting participants and accompanying people.
