Dear Friends and Colleagues, It is our pleasure to invite you to the 46th Annual Meeting of the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology which will be held in Istanbul. We are pleased to organise this wonderful event for the second time in Istanbul after the 1976 meeting of AEPC. We believe this meeting will give you the opportunity to increase the knowledge exchange in paediatric and congenital cardiology. The meeting will cover all the aspects of this unique medical science.
Istanbul, historically known as Byzantium and Constantinople, is the largest city in Turkey. Istanbul had previously served as the capital of the Roman, Byzantine, Latin and Ottoman Empires. It is located on the Bosphorus Strait. Istanbul is the only metropolis in the world that is situated on two continents. Istanbul was chosen as a European Capital of Culture for 2010. Many historic areas of the city were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The weather in May gives wonderful opportunities to discover Istanbul.
The venue for the 2012 AEPC is the Harbiye Museum, which is ideally suited for a scientific meeting in a historical place. We are very honoured to host 46th Annual Meeting of the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology meeting in Istanbul and hope that the meeting will offer you an exciting experience in learning and sharing knowledge.
