Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce that the next official annual meeting of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging
(EACVI) will take place in the fascinating and historical city of Istanbul on 11-14 December 2013.

The main themes will be Heart Failure and Imaging in Interventional Cardiology.

The aim of EuroEcho-Imaging will be to create an exciting forum for both clinicians and scientists to present and discuss the most up-to-date research and clinical findings on the broader spectrum of echocardiography together with the other cardiovascular imaging modalities.

The usual educational track on Echocardiography will run throughout the meeting with several teaching courses and specifically designed sessions. The participation of
young cardiologists and researchers will be stimulated and supported through the organisation of two (clinical and basic) young investigator award sessions. In addition, the best original researches will be rewarded through dedicated initiatives.

This conference will represent a unique opportunity for cardiologist interested in the clinical and interventional applications of cardiovascular imaging to come together
and interact with leading imaging experts from all over the world. The meeting will focus on the clinical scenario with the scope to demonstrate how imaging modalities may affect clinical decision-making and outcome.

We look forward to welcoming you in the fascinating city of Istanbul where the historical settings and beautiful landscapes will make our meeting unforgettable!

Professor Patrizio Lancellotti - EACVI President 2012-2014
