ESSR 2007 "Avrupa Kas İskelet Radyolojisi Derneği 14. Yıllık Toplantısı"

Dear colleagues, On behalf of the ESSR, it is an honour and pleasure for me to welcome you to Izmir , Turkey , to attend the 14th Annual meeting on June 1-2, 2007. The scientific programme will focus on “Shoulder Joint” as a 2 day Refresher Course which will cover the anatomy of the joint, diagnosis and theraphy of diseases related to this joint. Beside the Refresher Course, five other special focus sessions on “Rheumatoid Diseases”, “Bone and Soft Tissue Tumors”, "Cartilage and Sports Imaging”, “Osteoporosis” and “ Musculoskeletal Imaging Biomarkers and Translational Research” will provide detailed knowledge about muskuloskeletal radiology. The very popular “Hands-on Workshop” in musculoskeletal radiology will be repeated as basic and masterclass levels. In addition, we welcome your current work as a submitted paper or poster. Izmir , known as the "Pearl of Aegean Sea", lies at the head of a long and narrow gulf. Izmir is the third largest city in Turkey and lies at the centre of the most important land, air and sea communication network in the Aegean region. The region has been inhabited since 3000 AD so the area is rich in historical sites, these can be found within the city (Kadifekale - Bayrakli) but also within a short drive you can find Efesus, Pregamum, Sardis , Teos and many more places to explore.
